Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Tangible Spark LLC ("Tangible Spark," "we," "us," or "our") collects through Urban Quest Live (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

Account information. We authenticate accounts with your email address via a one-time email code, and store a display name and phone number if you provide them.

Team and gameplay information. Team names, team member display names, checkpoint progress, hints used, scores, and finish times for each game you play.

Location data.While you are actively playing a game, your device's GPS location is used to verify you have reached a checkpoint or the finish line, and — where a session uses "all members" verification — your teammates' check-ins may record their location as well. We only collect location data during active gameplay, not in the background, and only with your device's location permission.

Photos. Photos you or your team submit for checkpoint verification or capture during a game are uploaded to our storage and may include the location where they were taken.

Payment information. Entry fees are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed and the amount charged, but we do not receive or store your full card number.

Device and usage information. Standard technical information such as browser type and general usage of the Service, collected automatically as you use it.

• To operate the Service: creating and running game sessions, verifying checkpoint arrivals, calculating scores, and compiling results.
• To process payments and apply discount codes.
• To send transactional communications, such as booking confirmations, results notifications, and photo album links.
• To maintain the security and integrity of the Service, including detecting abuse of checkpoint verification.
• To improve the Service, including which landmarks and puzzle types work well.

We do not sell your personal information.

After a game ends, we compile a results dashboard and photo album for that session. These pages are accessible to anyone with the shareable link — they do not require a login to view — so that you and your team can share your results and photos with friends and family. Do not share the link if you do not want that content to be viewed by people you didn't send it to.

We share information with the following service providers, each of which processes it only to provide their service to us:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and photo storage.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Anthropic — generates puzzle clues from our own curated, verified landmark data; it does not receive your personal information.
• Google Maps — location display and mapping.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.

We retain account and gameplay information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Results dashboards and photo albums remain accessible via their shareable link unless you request removal as described below.

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

• You can decline location or camera permission in your browser, though this will prevent GPS/photo checkpoint verification from working.
• You can request a copy of, correction to, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the email below.
• You can ask us to remove a specific photo you appear in from a results album.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and row-level access controls on our database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
